Using the F-500 EA® TKO Nozzle for Washdown and Knockdown
The F-500 EA® TKO Nozzle is designed for simplicity and speed—delivering rapid, effective fire suppression when every second matters. To operate, connect the nozzle to any standard 1-½” NH-NST fitting. Once attached, fully open the nozzle and use the integrated dial to easily adjust the stream pattern, fog setting, and proportioning rate. With a flow rate of 75 LPM (20 GPM), the TKO Nozzle provides precise eduction control at your fingertips. We recommend utilizing a 0.5%-1% proportioning rate for washdown and Class A fires, and 3% for Class B, C, D, and lithium-ion battery hazards.
When using an F-500 EA® solution, direct the stream at the base of the fire and sweep the nozzle vigorously from side to side to ensure full coverage. Avoid blanketing the fire, as Encapsulator Technology works most effectively when agitated and applied directly to the fuel source. When additional concentrate is needed, simply unscrew the empty bottle and replace it in seconds—no batch mixing or external eductors required. This rapid-change system enables uninterrupted suppression, making the F-500 EA® TKO Nozzle a vital tool for firefighters and departments managing a wide range of fire scenarios.
